A clearer view of the
mammography experience.
Mammography is a clinical examination that depends on careful positioning. This page explains what MammoGRIP® is and what a patient may encounter—without making promises about comfort, diagnosis, or individual results.

Positioning is part of the image-making process
A mammogram involves positioning the breast so the imaging system can capture the requested views. The technologist guides the patient through the process and may need to adjust position carefully to support the examination.
Every patient and every examination is different. The time required, the positioning experience, and the questions a patient has can vary. Patients should speak with their technologist or clinician about their own circumstances.
A technology used by the mammography technologist
MammoGRIP® is a mammography positioning technology applied to the technologist’s hands before positioning. It is designed to support grip and tissue control at the moment the image is acquired.
A patient may encounter MammoGRIP® as part of the technologist’s preparation for the examination. The product is not applied to the patient, and it does not replace the technologist’s professional judgment or the imaging center’s established procedures.

Questions are part of good care
Patients can tell the technologist if they are anxious, have had a difficult mammogram in the past, or need a question explained. Clear communication supports a respectful examination experience.
MammoGRIP® is not a promise that an examination will be pain-free or easier for every person. It is a technology intended to support the technologist’s positioning process.
